Jennifer W. George is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been helping people with depression for over thirty years. She was trained as an occupational therapist and worked in outpatient mental health centers. In her free time she did a Master’s Degree in Social Work at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and has been an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Health Services at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill since 2020. She has also written several books about her career experiences.

Dr. George offers a number of resources for those who are having problems with their depression. These include personal training for those who want to be psychotherapists, and training for therapists in the area of social work and counseling. She also works with the Department of Veteran Affairs to offer a Veterans’ Education Program. She also helps those who have been victims of domestic violence and other abuses seek counseling. She does not work solely in a mental health clinic but does have private practice. She is also involved in several organizations, including her own organization, the National Association of Social Workers and her state association. She also serves on the board of directors for the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy.

Jennifer W. George provides an individualized approach to help people live productive, happier lives. Her specialty is working with people who have a mental illness or disability and who are having problems with the way that they are feeling. Her goal is to help each person with a life that they can be proud of, while they are treating and managing their depression.
