Rene J. Britt is a certified substance abuse therapist and a Certified Clinical Psychologist who has been a practicing therapist in the States of Alabama and Florida for more than 20 years. Rene began his career as a drug counselor and psychologist in private practice in the Florida area. After several years of experience, he decided to pursue his master’s degree at the University of Miami’s School of Medicine where he earned a Master’s Degree in Human Services. He went on to work as a licensed clinical social worker and counselor in various government and private agencies helping individuals and families dealing with drug addiction.

Rene began his professional career by assisting the government’s Alcohol and Drug Abuse Bureau in Jacksonville, Florida. He later worked as a psychotherapist and substance abuse counselor in the public behavioral health sector in Sarasota, Florida. Later, he went on to open a private substance abuse treatment center in Auburn, Alabama. The Center was designed for those wishing to recover from drug addiction and other forms of addiction. The Center has received great feedback from both its clients and the local community. In his many years of experience as a drug and alcohol counselor, he has seen a drastic decrease in substance abuse cases that were previously occurring.

He believes that the road to recovery is a long one but a necessary one for all who have been battling substance abuse. “There is nothing worse than turning an addict around the corner and having them relapse. We help these people overcome their drug addiction while at the same time giving them the tools they need to get clean and stay clean,” says Rene. With his extensive experience as a drug addiction counselor, he can attest to the effectiveness of drug addiction recovery programs.
