More about Therapists in Jasper Alabama

An addiction treatment center will most likely include at least one of the following options: inpatient/day rehab, inpatient/short term rehab, day/short term rehab, outpatient treatment, group or individual therapy, or a combination of these options. Inpatient/short term programs are for people who have an addiction to drugs, alcohol, or both. Inpatient treatment programs are designed to treat people with an addiction over a long period of time. This may involve detoxification of some type (either inpatient or outpatient), medication counseling, or a combination of inpatient and outpatient treatments. A short-term program is more like rehab for a few days and weeks. On-site treatment: The on-site treatment option is a short-term program that is designed for people with a short-term addiction to drugs, alcohol, or both. These programs are designed to help people get off drugs quickly and effectively. Some examples of inpatient/short term programs include detoxification, inpatient treatment, group therapy, and individual therapy. An outpatient treatment option is generally used for people who are not addicted to drugs, alcohol, or both. These programs may include counseling or medication management. An inpatient treatment option is sometimes used to treat drug and alcohol addiction and often is less expensive than an outpatient treatment option. A comprehensive substance abuse treatment center offers a number of different options that can help patients quit their addiction. A complete drug and alcohol addiction program will have detoxification and outpatient programs along with an inpatient and residential program. The addict should be able to participate in the residential program without interference and relapse prevention activities are very important. If a patient is in the residential program, he or she needs support and encouragement to continue recovery. When the addict has recovered from the addiction and he or she is ready to return to his or her normal lifestyle, the outpatient program is the next step to take. This option may include medication or therapy as well. It may also include a combination of medication and counseling.
