Rebecca Washburn is a professional who specializes in substance abuse and is certified by the Alabama Department of Insurance. She is a certified alcohol and drug abuse therapist and a substance abuse therapist who also provide Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of Alabama, where she received her Masters Degree in Human Services. She has been a licensed counselor for the last 12 years and is a member of the National Council for Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, which she is very proud of. She works with individuals, couples, families, and groups. As a substance abuse therapist, Rebecca primarily serves the African American, Hispanic, and Native American communities, working with their addictions, depression, and stress related to drug and alcohol abuse.
The reason why Rebecca is able to provide such excellent treatment is because she started this career as an alcohol and drug abuse counselor when she was 18 years old. It was very hard for her to continue in this line of work when it was emotionally and spiritually difficult for her. After several years of struggling with addictions, she felt that something was missing from her life, which led her to begin her education as a counselor. Although she had been very open about her need for treatment, nobody else really listened until she shared with them that she had an addiction problem. Then, many of them came to her for help. She felt like no one understood what she was going through, but with the help she got, she was able to become a very successful substance abuse and addiction therapist.
Rebecca works with people of all ages. She treats them with kindness, empathy, respect, understanding, compassion, and confidentiality. The number of clients that she has treated in Fairhope is truly amazing considering the fact that she is an only Therapist. Each client is required to sign a contract after being seen by Rebecca Washburn Therapist in Fairhope, Alabama. If the client violates that contract, then the Therapist may refer the client to a law firm to enforce the terms of the contract.
