Misti Ashley is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Florence, AL who has been helping people for over twenty years. She was born in Alabama but grew up in Arkansas. Her family moved to Florence and she moved with them. Misti’s first marriage ended when she was just fourteen years old and it took her three years to get out of that rut. Misti’s mother worked long hours at a plant and Misti didn’t get around much. But after her father died, Misti found herself in the perfect position to make herself useful and that is what she did – got a job working in the hospital as a Registered Nurse.

Misti Ashley went on to college and got her Bachelor of Science in Nursing before she found herself a career in the field of mental health care. Misti Ashley’s work has taken her all over the world as a mental health professional. She works with people in nursing homes, in rehabilitation centers, and in private practice. Misti Ashley believes that her therapeutic approach helps people learn to see past their problems and see new possibilities. Her patients often come to her because they are suffering from drug and alcohol addictions and from eating disorders. Misti Ashley feels that her style of therapy can be successful in treating these problems. And most of her clients find that they improve their lives and relationships by using her techniques and by trying her counseling sessions.
